Gowdy...Drafted in the second round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft by the Phillies out of Santa Barbara High School...Was selected in the same round as Bo Bichette...As a Junior at Santa Barbara, went 3-0 with a 0.27 ERA over 26 innings of work, signing a letter of intent with UCLA...Named a Perfect Game All-American in 2015...In 2016, was the fifth-ranked player (third pitcher) in the state of California, according to Perfect Game...Won a gold medal with the United States at the 2015 WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup in Japan...Earned a win against Mexico and pitched two scoreless innings in a comeback win over Cuba in the semifinal.

2024

Received a non-roster invite to the Dodgers’ Spring Training in 2024, and was added to their 40-man roster on March 24...Reached the Triple-A level for the first time in his career, spending the entirety of the 2024 season with Oklahoma City...Appeared in 42 games (one start), going 2-2 with a 4.38 ERA (25 ER/51.1 IP), 23 walks and 45 strikeouts...Surrendered just one home run all season (Samad Taylor on Sept. 13 vs. TAC)...Was one of 17 minor leaguers to pitch at least 42 games and allow one or fewer homers...Over a 14-game stretch from May 23-July 4, went 2-0 with a 0.92 ERA (2 ER/19.2 IP), seven walks and 22 strikeouts while holding hitters to a .233 average.

2023

Signed to a Minor League contract by the Dodgers organization on Jan. 23, 2023. Played the whole season with Double-A Tulsa, going 2-1 with a 4.93 ERA (21 ER/38.1 IP) and 41 strikeouts against 20 walks...Did not give up any runs in all four of his appearances in the month of May (3.2 innings)…had his best month in August, going 1-0 with a 2.38 ERA (3 ER/11.1 IP) in eight outings…tossed a season-high four strikeouts on Sept. 14 against Corpus Cristi.
