2013

Was an invite to Pirates spring training and was reassigned to minor league camp... Began the season with Triple-A Indianapolis... Posted monthly ERA's of 1.99 (22.2 IP, 5 ER) in April; 1.65 (32.2 IP, 6 ER) in June; 1.00 (27.0 IP, 3 ER) in July; and 2.11 (21.1 IP, 5 ER) in August... Had contract purchased by Pittsburgh August 18 and made major league debut that same day, pitching 6.0 innings of relief vs. Arizona; allowing two runs on five hits with two walks and five strikeouts...was issued the loss as the game lasted 16 innings... Optioned back to Indianapolis August 19... Went 10-3, 2.16 ERA (125.0 IP, 30 ER) in 21 starts for Indianapolis and 0-1, 5.06 ERA (10.2 IP, 6 ER) in five relief appearances... Led the International League in ERA (2.39), fourth in WHIP (1.17) and tied for seventh in wins (10)... Recalled by Pittsburgh September 1... Made three appearances for the Pirates in September, allowing five runs on seven hits in 4.1 innings pitched... Acquired by Minnesota via trade with Pittsburgh in exchange for right-handed pitcher Duke Welker November 19.

2012

Spent first season with Pittsburgh organization after signing as a minor league free agent December 14, 2011...split the season between Double-A Altoona and Triple-A Indianapolis...made season debut and recorded first professional save April 6 vs. Erie...did not allow an earned run in final 22.0 innings pitched between both levels...combined to go 8-4, 3.19 ERA (101.2 IP, 36 ER) with 75 strikeouts in 35 games (13 starts) between both levels; posted a 1.56 ERA (57.2 IP, 10 ER) in 13 starts and a 5.32 ERA (44.0 IP, 26 ER) in 22 relief appearances...played in the Dominican Winter League with Escogido and went 1-0, 0.67 ERA (27.0 IP, 2 ER) in six games (4 starts).

2011

Started season with Triple-A Pawtucket (Boston) and went 2-2, 12.63 ERA (20.2 IP, 29 ER) with seven home runs allowed in eight games (3 starts)...unconditionally released from Boston's organization May 16...signed with the Kansas City T-Bones of the American Association (Independent League)...went 6-3, 3.23 ERA (111.1 IP, 40 ER) with two complete games (1 shutout), 51 walks and 64 strikeouts in 16 starts.

2010

Spent season with Triple-A Pawtucket...posted a 2.88 ERA (34.1 IP, 11 ER) in six May starts...led Pawtucket in innings pitched (132.2), ranked second in starts (24), tied for third in wins (6) and strikeouts (79)...tied for first in the International League in losses (13)...made five starts for Escogido in the Dominican Winter League, going 1-1, 3.00 ERA (24.0 IP, 8 ER).

2009

Split the season between Triple-A Pawtucket and Double-A Portland, combining to go 3-16 with a 6.35 ERA (80 ER/113.1 IP)...Began the year with Pawtucket and finished 4th on the club in starts (22) and 5th in both innings (96.1) and strikeouts (65)¡KTied for 2nd in the International League with 13 losses...Was 1-3 with a 3.68 ERA (15 ER/36.2 IP) in 8 starts at McCoy Stadium but 2-10 with a 7.99 ERA (53 ER/59.2 IP) in 14 starts at other International League ballparks...Did not allow a run over 1st 2 Triple-A starts (10.0 IP), but lost 13 of next 20 before 8/19 transfer to Portland...Lost a total of 10 consecutive decisions between the 2 clubs from 6/26-9/3, logging a 6.31 ERA (43 ER/61.1 IP) during that stretch¡KDropped each of 3 starts with Portland from 8/24-93...Started a total of 4 day games in 2009, going 1-0 with a 1.37 ERA (3 ER/19.2 IP)¡KWas 2-16 with a 7.40 ERA (77 ER/93.2 IP) in 21 night starts.

Spent entire season at Portland and ranked 9th in the Eastern League and 8th in the Red Sox minor league system with a 3.63 ERA (55 ER/136.1 IP)...Matched a career high with 27 starts and tied for 4th among BOS farmhands with 8 wins...Also set career highs in innings and strikeouts (108)...Named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for 4/21-27, going 2-0 with a 0.77 ERA (1 ER/11.2 IP)...Set a Sea Dogs franchise record with 23.1 consecutive scoreless innings from 6/15-7/1, a span that included 3 straight scoreless starts beginning 6/21 (18.1 IP)...Gave up just 5 home runs on the year and yielded a season-high 2 long balls on 8/19 at Altoona, snapping a streak of 95.1 homerless innings...Lost only postseason start, 9/3 at Trenton, despite allowing just 1 earned run in 6.0 innings.

2007

Led Single-A Lancaster and tied for 12th in California League with career-high 9 wins. ƒ¤Also led the JetHawks with 136.0 innings, 27 starts and 100 strikeouts. ƒ¤Was 3-0 with a 3.00 ERA (14 ER/42.0 IP) over 8 starts from 5/24-7/5...Went 2-0 with a 3.18 ERA (8 ER/22.2 IP) over a span of 4 starts from 8/1-17, including a season-high 10, strikeout effort in a win vs. Modesto on 8/7...Only postseason appearance was a start in Game 1 of the Southern Division finals vs. Lake Elsinore on 9/8... Allowed 2 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks and fanned 1 over 6.0 innings but did not get a decision in the only JetHawks win of the series.
