Played baseball, football and ran track at Ottawa (Ill.) Township High School, 90 miles west of Chicago…as a senior, was named to the Illinois Coaches Association Class 3A All-State Team and New Tribune All-Area Team…in football, set a school record, rushing for 352 yards and five touchdowns on nine carriers in August 2012.

2022

In 31 games for the Cubs in 2022, hit .115 (7-for-61) with seven runs, two doubles, four RBI, seven BB and one SB…was placed on the 10-day injured list on 5/8 and transferred to the 60-day injured list on 6/30 with a left quadriceps strain…in 10 rehab assignment games with Rookie-level AZL Cubs and Triple-A Iowa, hit .324 (11-for-34) with nine runs, three doubles, one triple, one HR, three RBI, four BB and three SB…was activated off the injured list on 9/6 and designated for assignment on 9/27.

2021

Was limited to 16 games in his first season with the Cubs in 2021, ending the season on the injured list with a strained left forearm... Hit .286 (4-for-14) vs. left-handed pitchers and .357 (5-for-14) out of the leadoff spot... Had his contract selected Aug. 17 and hit his second career major league homer in his first start Aug. 18 in Cincinnati... Homered and recorded a career-high three hits and three RBI on Sept. 3 vs. Pittsburgh... Hit .306 (45-for-147) with 10 doubles, one triple, 10 home runs and 29 RBI in 43 games for Triple-A Iowa... Was named the Cubs minor league Player of the Month for June after hitting .324 (24-for-74) with five doubles, four home runs and 15 RBI in 22 games during the month.

2020

Was on the Angels Opening Day roster and played seven games before he was optioned to the team's Alternate Site, July 23...was designated for assignment, Aug. 23 and outrighted, Aug. 28.

2019

Limited to a combined 82 games throughout Angels organization due to injury...Started the season on the I.L. with a core muscle injury...Activated June 3rd following two rehab games with Adv.-A Inland Empire...Appeared in two different stints for the Angels seeing action at all three outfield positions...Following initial option to Triple-A Salt Lake (June 5), was one of four different Bees to tally 15 home runs: Jared Walsh, Jose Rojas and Taylor Ward.

2018

Saw first career Major League action across five different stints with the Angels... Major League debut May 18th, starting in right field (1-for-4, 2B) and doubling in first at-bat...Connected for first big league homer Sept. 24 vs. Texas... Saw action in all three outfield positions at the Major League level (12 G in CF, 12 G in RF and 4 G in RF), making just one error in 165.2 innings in the field... In 68 games with Triple-A Salt Lake, hit .267 (73/273) with 14 doubles, four triples, 12 home runs, 46 RBI and 10 stolen bases...Finished the season tied for the team lead in stolen bases... Entered the season ranked by MLB.com as the Angels #13 prospect...Added to the 40-man prior to the season...Received second career invite to Major League Spring Training (also, 2017)... Played for the Tigres del Licey in the Dominican Winter League following the 2018 campaign.

2017

Performance in 2017 led to his being tabbed the 2018 #10 prospect in the Angels' organization by Baseball America ... Spent time at three different levels of the Angels organization...Led all Halo farmhands with a combined 35 stolen bases ... Began the season with Single-A Inland Empire before promotion to Double-A Mobile Apr. 24...Spent a majority of the year with the BayBears and hit .303 (30/99) with six doubles, three home runs, 11 RBI and nine stolen bases in the month of July...The 21 steals with Mobile were good for fourth in the Southern League ... Promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake Aug. 3, finishing the season batti ng .287 (33/115) with six doubles, a triple, five home runs and 16 RBI ...
