Split season between the Cincinnati and New York Mets organizations, beginning the season in AAA Louisville after NRI invite to ML camp…Cincinnati native made his Reds debut on April 27 with 2.0 perfect innings vs. San Diego (2K)…Was with the Reds, Apr. 27-May 8, before being DFA’d and later outrighted back to AAA Louisville, where he was on the IL with a left shoulder strain, May 23-June 4...Was traded along with OF Tyler Naquin in exchange for a pair of Minor League players and assigned to the AAA Syracuse roster, where he spent the remainder of the season…Overall at the AAA level, he went 2-3 with a 5.90 ERA in 38 games (26ER/39.2IP/8HR, 39SO).

Led all minor league pitchers with 58 apps...On 4/14 was claimed off waivers from Rockies...was optioned to the Reds' alternate training site in Louisville...Had one stint on the Reds' Taxi Squad (4/23-4/28 at StL/LAD) but spent the rest of the season at Louisville...Was designated for assignment on 5/2, when the Reds claimed off waivers from the Rockies RHP Ashton Goudeau...Two days later, cleared waivers and was outrighted to Louisville.
