Began season with Durham (Devil Rays' AAA)...Was recalled by Tampa Bay on 5/31...Made debut with Devil Rays as a starter on 5/31 vs. Seattle and suffered the loss (3.1ip/7h/5r)...Made three starts before moving into the bullpen for the remainder of the season...Went 0-3 with a 6.91 ERA (14.1ip/11er) as a starter and 2-3 with a 2.98 ERA (54.1ip/18er) as a reliever...Made first relief appearance on 6/15 vs. Toronto and earned the win (his first major league win since 10/1/95 @St. Louis as a member of the Pirates)...Posted a 2.13 ERA (12.2ip/3er) during the final month of the season.
