Taylor's last name is pronounced as truh-MELL...Attended Paran Christian High School in Kennesaw, Ga., where he played baseball and football... committed to Georgia Tec to play baseball before being drafted by the Reds in the first round of the 2016 draft...selected with the 35th overall selection in the 2016 draft, which was the first selection in the Competitive Balance Round A, which falls after First round compensation picks and immediately ahead of the second round...Played parts of four seasons (2016-19) in the Reds system before being traded twice prior to his Major League debut...went from the Reds to the Padres in 2019 as a piece in the three-team trade that sent RHP Trevor Bauer to Cincinnati...was again flipped in 2020, going from San Diego to Seattle in the deal that sent C Austin Nola to the Padres...debuted with the Mariners the following season (2021)...Bounced around in 2024, starting the year with the Mariners before being claimed off waivers by first the Dodgers, then the Yankees...played in five games for both teams, which ended up meeting each other in the World Series...became the first player to play for both World Series finalists in the same season since LHP Arthur Rhodes played for both the Rangers and Cardinals in 2011...the Cardinals won that series in a thrilling seven games with Rhodes pitching in three games of the Fall Classic...Acquired by the Astros after the 2024 season from the Yankees in exchange for cash...enters 2025 on the Astros 40-man roster, but is out of options...is signed to a one-year contract for the 2025 season.

2024

Started the season with Seattle, appearing in 16 Spring Training games for the Mariners...did not make the club's Opening Day roster, being designated for assignment on March 28...Claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on April 2, appeared in five games at the Major League level before being claimed again off waivers, this time by the Yankees...appeared in another five games with the Yankees before an outright to Triple A...Combined to go 1-for-7 (.143) with a walk and two runs scored in his limited Major League action...Played the majority of his season at Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, appearing in 106 games and hitting .256 (86x336) with 20 doubles, 18 homers, 63 RBI and an .869 OPS...Added to the Yankees 40-man roster following the season and immediately flipped to the Astros in exchange for cash considerations.

2023

Batted .130 (6x46) with three home runs, 11 RBIs and nine walks over 22 games for Seattle while getting on base at a .286 clip and slugging .326 (.612 OPS)...In his first at bat of the 2023 season on April 30 he hit a grand slam to right field in the 1st inning for his first career grand slam...was reinstated from the Injured List earlier that day and started the game against Toronto...Matched his career-high in RBI for a single game on April 30 against Toronto with four...his only previous four-RBI game came on May 31, 2022 against Baltimore...Despite only appearing in 22 games, Trammell matched his career high for multi-RBI games...he recorded three multi-RBI games (April 30 at Toronto, May 4 at Oakland and May 16 at Boston)…the only other season in which Trammell recorded three multi-RBI games was in 2021...Appeared in 85 games with Tacoma where he hit .268 (85x317) with 20 doubles, 21 home runs, 63 RBI, 17 stolen bases and 63 walks...he reached base at a .390 clip and slugged .530 (.920 OPS).

Acquired via trade from San Diego with C Luis Torrens, INF Ty France, and RHP Andres Muñoz in exchange for C Austin Nola, RHP Dan Altavilla and RHP Austin Adams on Aug. 30...After joining Seattle, spent the season at the Mariners alternate training site in Tacoma.

2019

Was invited to his 1st Major League Spring Training camp and split the season between Chattanooga (AA) and Amarillo (AA)...acquired by SD from CIN on July 31 in a 7-player, 3-team deal...Hit a combined .234 (102-for-436) with 12 2B, 4 3B, 10 HR, 43 RBI and 61 runs scored between CHA and AMA...Hit safely in 5 of his 1st 6 games of the season, including his 1st career 4-hit game on April 11 at Jackson…went on to hit .292 in April, his highest clip for any calendar month of 2019...Named to his 2nd consecutive SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game roster…started in LF for the NL squad and went 1-for-2 with an RBI...Hit just .216 in July and .214 in August…closed the regular season on a 5-game hitting streak (.474)…suffered a concussion in August and was sidelined by a rolled ankle to finish the year...Started all 10 of the Sod Poodles Texas League postseason games, hitting safely in 8 of them at a .310 clip with 1 2B, 2 3B, 3 HR, 11 RBI and 6 runs scored...Trailing 3-1 in the 9th inning of the decisive Game 5 of the 2019 TL championship series, Trammell took a 2-2 pitch over the right field wall for a grand slam, sparking a 7-run outburst and 8-3 victory over Tulsa.

At Class A Daytona Beach was the Most Valuable Player of the Sirius XM All-Star Futures Game, an MiLB.com Reds Organization All-Star, a mid-season and post-season Midwest League All-Star and an Arizona Fall League Rising Star...as MVP of the Futures Game at Nationals Park sent his bat to the Cooperstown Hall of Fame...went 2-for-2 with a 438-foot HR and a triple...among Florida State League leaders ranked T3rd in runs scored and walks, fourth in on-base percentage, T4th in stolen bases and ninth in hitting...with 25 steals ranked third among all Reds minor league batters...was voted by Baseball America the Futures Game's best hitter and the Florida State League outfielder with the best throwing arm...was rated by Baseball America the fifth-best prospect in the Florida State League and by MLB.com the seventh-best prospect in the Arizona Fall League...following the season played for the Scottsdale Scorpions in the Arizona Fall League (22g, .298, 4 2b, 2 3b, 0 HR, 6 RBI, 6 SB, .359obp, .393slg, .752ops).
