In 1996 graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville, FL...in 2000 graduated with a degree in business from Mississippi State University...in each of his 4 seasons at MSU hit at least .320...as a senior was named All-Southeastern Conference (.350, 59r, 22 2b, 7hr, 63rbi).

2003

Was promoted to the Phillies on 9/2...made his only Major League appearance as a pinch runner on 9/9 at Atl....on 12/26 had arthroscopic surgery to repair the torn labrum and to debride the rotator cuff in his right shoulder (Dr. Michael Cicotti).

2004

Spent most of the 26/ arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder...appeared in 44g at Class A Wilmington and the Arizona Rookie League Royals...began the season on Wilmington's DL...from 7/15-8/3 made 17 apps while on rehab assignment at Arizona...on 8/5 was reinstated from the disabled list and finished the season with Wilmington.
