Missed the first five months of the season as he continued his recovery from Tommy John surgery...Returned to go 1-2 with a 3.05 ERA (7 ER/20.2 IP) and 22 strikeouts in seven appearances (four starts) between the Florida Complex League Orioles, Class A Delmarva, Class A Aberdeen and Bowie...Made one rehab start with the FCL Orioles and Delmarva and two with Aberdeen before being reinstated from the IL and assigned to Aberdeen on 8/29...Threw four hitless IP on 9/1 at Jersey City and was promoted to Bowie on 9/5, where he made two appearances...Was named an AFL Rising Star with Mesa after going 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA (3 ER/9 IP) and 12 strikeouts in seven outings.
