Astros to Release Limited Standing Room Only Tickets for 2016 Opening Day

Beginning at 12:00 p.m. today, fans will be able to purchase standing room only tickets for the Astros Home Opener on Monday, April 11. Tickets are limited, so fans are encouraged to purchase early. Tickets can be purchased online at www.astros.com/tickets, at the Minute Maid Park Box Office on Texas Avenue or by phone toll free at 1-877-9ASTROS (1-877-927-8767).

HOME OPENING DAY
The Astros will celebrate the 2016 Home Opener on Monday, April 11 in style with the return of the Opening Day Street Fest, presented by Budweiser, featuring live music, food trucks, games, a vendor expo and much more from 2:00 - 6:30 p.m. One of the new attractions at this year's Opening Day Street Fest is the Budweiser Macro Bar, a 53-foot double-decker bar featuring ice cold Budweiser beverages. Following the street festival, fans are encouraged to head to their seats for the Opening Day pregame festivities, including a special ceremony honoring 2015 AL Cy Young Award winner Dallas Keuchel and Rookie of the Year Carlos Correa, with special appearances by 2004 NL Cy Young winner Roger Clemens and 1991 NL Rookie of the Year Jeff Bagwell. The Opening Day pregame ceremonies will also include a giant American flag held by members of the military and Astros Season Ticket Holders, performance of the National Anthem by country music legend Clay Walker and more.
SEASON TICKET GIVEAWAY
Once again this Opening Day, one lucky fan will win a pair of Season Tickets to kick off the Astros 2016 season. All fans in attendance on Opening Day (April 11) to watch the Astros take on the reigning World Series Champion Kansas City Royals will be entered for a chance to win a pair of Astros 2016 Season Tickets. Fans must be present to win, and will be awarded the tickets as part of the Opening Day pregame ceremonies. 2016 Astros Season Tickets are still available for sale and can be purchased by calling 1-800-ASTROS2.
ASTROS SEASON OPENER WATCH PARTIES
The Astros are kicking off the 2016 season on the road this year, taking on the New York Yankees for the first time since the Astros 2015 Wild Card win last October. Looking for a place to watch the game? The Astros have you covered. The Astros will be hosting official Astros Season Opener Watch Parties on Monday, April 4 at select Buffalo Wild Wings locations throughout Greater Houston. The watch parties will begin at 11:30 a.m. and go through the end of the game, with first pitch scheduled for 12:05 p.m. CT. Two-time GameOps.com Best Mascot winner Orbit and the Astros Coca-Cola Shooting Stars will be making appearances all over the city at the various watch parties, and Astros prizes will be given away during trivia and games of Baseball Bingo. As part of the new Bud 'n Burgers campaign, fans can enjoy a Bud and a burger for a chance to win a pair of tickets to a future Astros game, courtesy of Budweiser.

Show your H-Town pride on April 4 by wearing your Astros cap and posting a photo to social media with the hashtag #CapsOn, and you'll be joined by MLB players, celebrity fans and elected officials who are all putting their #CapsOn to celebrate everyone's favorite unofficial national holiday, Opening Day.
OPENING SERIES
Astros fans, it's finally time to welcome Astros baseball back to Houston! The Astros Opening Series vs. the 2015 World Series Champion Kansas City Royals marks the first meeting of the two teams since Game 5 of the 2015 American League Division Series, and the only time Houston hosts Kansas City all season. Let's give the Royals a series to remember. Houston, let's "orange out" Minute Maid Park! Fans are encouraged to wear their Astros orange for all four games against the Royals, which start at 7:10 p.m. at Minute Maid Park, April 11-14. Come kick off the Astros 2016 season and show the country what Astros fans are all about.
The first $1 Hot Dog Night of the season is Wednesday, April 13. Fans can purchase an unlimited number of Nolan Ryan Beef hot dogs at $1 each while supplies last (limit of four per person per concession visit).
Astros fans can also catch the deal of the season with Double Play Tuesdays, presented by Coca-Cola. Participating fans receive two View Deck II tickets for only $22.
