Royals to appear at charity events tomorrow

Players from the World Champion Kansas City Royals will be making appearances in support of two different charities Saturday morning, April 23.

KANSAS CITY, MO - Players from the World Champion Kansas City Royals will be making appearances in support of two different charities Saturday morning, April 23. Please see below for more details. 
 
Noah's Crown Town 5K
Gold Glove first baseman Eric Hosmer and pitcher Danny Duffy will appear at the first Noah's Crown Town 5K. Hosmer will welcome runners to the race, which has a start set for 7:30 a.m. Duffy will then assist with the awards ceremony which is anticipated to start around 8:45 a.m. The event will occur at Corporate Woods in Overland Park, Kan. Alex Gordon Classic
The second-annual Alex Gordon Classic to benefit the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation takes place through Sunday, and the left fielder will make an appearance tomorrow morning at Mid America Sports Complex at 20000 Johnson Dr., in Shawnee, Kan. Starting at 11:00 a.m., Gordon will speak to the 120 teams from across the Midwest who participate in the tournament, then meet the top teams who raised the most money for the foundation leading up to the tournament. Later tomorrow night, the top two fundraising teams will watch Royals batting practice and be on-field before the game with Papa John's, who will present a check to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation from the proceeds from the 2015 Alex Gordon Special.
