White Sox reinstate David Robertson from bereavement list; option Tommy Kahnle

Prior to today's game at Baltimore, the Chicago White Sox reinstated right-handed pitcher David Robertson from the Bereavement List and optioned right-hander Tommy Kahnle (CAIN-lee) to Class AAA Charlotte.

Prior to today's game at Baltimore, the Chicago White Sox reinstated right-handed pitcher David Robertson from the Bereavement List and optioned right-hander Tommy Kahnle (CAIN-lee) to Class AAA Charlotte.
 
Robertson, 31, was placed on the Bereavement List prior to Thursday's game. He is 8-9 in save opportunities and owns a 0.87 ERA (1 ER/10.1 IP) with 13 strikeouts and a .152 (5-33) opponents average over 10 appearances with the White Sox this season. Robertson is tied for the American League lead in saves.
 
Kahnle, 26, was recalled from Charlotte prior to Friday's game against the Orioles and made his Sox debut that night, pitching a scoreless eighth inning. He owns a 3.00 ERA (3 ER/9.0 IP) with one save and 12 strikeouts over seven relief outings with the Knights this season.
