DETROIT - The Detroit Tigers and Delta Air Lines are teaming up for the fifth annual Pink Out the Park at the Detroit Tigers vs. Texas Rangers game on Sunday, May 8 at 1:10 p.m., at Comerica Park. The afternoon's festivities will celebrate and honor those touched by breast cancer. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game to support breast health awareness.
"We're honored to partner with Delta Air Lines to present Pink Out the Park and we're thrilled to host this inspiring celebration on Mother's Day this year, honoring all moms and all those who have been affected by breast cancer," said Duane McLean, Detroit Tigers Executive Vice President of Business Operations. "Across the nation, Major League Baseball teams are holding similar events. Uniting to celebrate moms, as well as remembering and honoring those touched by breast cancer helps strengthen our message of breast health awareness, as a community and as a nation. We appreciate the support from community partners and look forward to seeing our wonderful fans in the stands wearing pink on Mother's Day."
A special ticket package is available and includes a donation to support breast cancer research at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, a game ticket and a 2016 limited edition Pink Out the Park t-shirt. To learn more and purchase your ticket package, visit tigers.com/pinkout.
