Kansas City's Mondesi suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Kansas City Royals infielder Raul Mondesi has received a 50-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Clenbuterol, a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Kansas City Royals infielder Raul Mondesi has received a 50-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Clenbuterol, a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
The suspension of Mondesi, a member of the Club's 40-man roster who is currently on the roster of Northwest Arkansas of the Texas League (Double-A), is effective immediately.
