Pirates sign another player from 2016 draft

The Pittsburgh Pirates today signed the following player from the 2016 First-Year Player Draft. The announcement was made by Joe DelliCarri, Pirates Director of Amateur Scouting.

Went 16-3 with a 1.17 ERA and 201 strikeouts in his career at Valley View High School...Went 5-0 with a 0.31 ERA and 66 strikeouts as a senior while leading his team to the District 2 Class AAA final...Was a 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game second- team All-American selection.
