This weekend, the Phillies host the Miami Marlins at Citizens Bank Park (September 16-18). Below are some of the must-know highlights when coming to the ballpark.
On Friday, September 16, the Kalas Award, established by the Phillies Broadcasters to honor Harry Kalas and presented to a deserving college student who has demonstrated a desire and shown initiative towards a career in sports broadcasting, will be presented to Penn State student, Erin Kate Dolan, by Phillies broadcaster, Scott Franzke.
Plus, college students are invited to the second Red Goes Greek Night of 2016 at Citizens Bank Park. The first 1,400 fans that purchase tickets through this theme night promotion will receive a special Phillies Red Goes Greek Beverage Koozie.
Ashburn Alley opens at 5:05 p.m., all gates open at 5:35 p.m. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
Komen Philadelphia is taking the field to honor Leslie Stiles, President of the Pennsylvania Conference for Women and board member of the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, who has done tremendous work in the fight against breast cancer. Elain Grobman, CEO Susan G. Komen Foundation, Philadelphia, will present Leslie - also a breast cancer survivor - a pink cape in recognition of all she has done in support of breast cancer awareness.
All gates open at 5:05 p.m. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
Fans who make a food donation that day can earn a free buy one get one ticket for that day's game. Plus stop by the festive game-day Block Party (11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) along Citizens Bank Way; all fans who attend the block party will receive a FREE ShopRite re-usable grocery bag while supplies last.
