The Kansas City Royals announced that right-handed pitcher Chris Young underwent successful bilateral core and right-sided adductor repair in a procedure performed by Dr. Bill Meyers in Philadelphia earlier today.

The Kansas City Royals announced that right-handed pitcher Chris Young underwent successful bilateral core and right-sided adductor repair in a procedure performed by Dr. Bill Meyers in Philadelphia earlier today. The procedure involved Young's abdominal area to his pelvis and right groin.
The recovery time is approximately eight weeks and Young is expected to be at full strength when Spring Training begins in February.
