Colorado Rockies recall left-handed pitcher Zac Rosscup

Right-handed pitcher Antonio Senzatela optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled left-handed pitcher Zac Rosscup from Triple-A Albuquerque and have optioned right-handed pitcher Antonio Senzatela to Triple-A.
·Rosscup, 29, will be making his first appearance on the Rockies active roster, wearing #60 … was acquired via trade from the Chicago Cubs on June 26 in exchange for right-handed pitcher Matt Carasiti … made one appearance for the Cubs this season, pitching 0.2 innings of hitless, scoreless relief on May 22 vs. San Francisco … he was designated for assignment by Chicago on June 22 … in his career with Chicago, he went 3-1 with a 5.32 ERA (47.1 IP, 28 ER), 32 walks and 57 strikeouts in 62 relief appearances across parts of four seasons … spent the entire 2016 season on the 60-day disabled list with left shoulder inflammation … has made three appearances with Albuquerque and allowed no runs on two hits with no walks and four strikeouts in 3.2 innings pitched … made 17 appearances with one start for Triple-A Iowa prior to the trade, and went 2-2 with a 2.60 ERA (27.2 IP, 8 ER), eight walks and 39 strikeouts … in his Minor League career, is 18-12 with a 2.60 ERA (293.2 IP, 85 ER), 107 walks and 359 strikeouts … was originally selected by Tampa Bay in the 28th round of the 2009 MLB First-Year Player Draft before being traded to Chicago on January 8, 2011. Rosscup Stats
