Colorado Rockies host 10-year reunion of 2007 National League Championship team

On Friday, September 15, the Colorado Rockies will host a 10-year reunion of the 2007 National League Champions, a team that won an historic 21 of 22 games played in an epic run to the World Series that will forever be remembered as "Rocktober."

DENVER - On Friday, September 15, the Colorado Rockies will host a 10-year reunion of the 2007 National League Champions, a team that won an historic 21 of 22 games played in an epic run to the World Series that will forever be remembered as "Rocktober."
A total of 17 players and three coaches from the 2007 Rockies team are scheduled to be on hand as part of the festivities: third baseman Garrett Atkins, infielder Clint Barmes, infielder Jamey Carroll, right-handed pitcher Aaron Cook, right-handed pitcher Josh Fogg, left-handed pitcher Jeff Francis, left-handed pitcher Brian Fuentes, right-handed pitcher LaTroy Hawkins, outfielder Brad Hawpe, first baseman Todd Helton, right-handed pitcher Matt Herges, right-handed pitcher Jason Hirsh, right-handed pitcher Rodrigo López, right-handed pitcher Zach McClellan, outfielder Ryan Spilborghs, outfielder Cory Sullivan, catcher Yorvit Torrealba, bullpen coach Rick Mathews, bench coach Jamie Quirk and bullpen catcher Mark Strittmatter.
There will be an open media availability in the Rockies dugout beginning at 3:50 p.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m. for all attendees with the exception of Todd Helton, who will have his own media availability at 5:10 p.m., also in the Rockies dugout. Media wishing to conduct one-on-one interviews with Helton or any other attendee should contact the Communications Department to arrange.
As part of the festivities, attendees will be stationed at all five entrance gates for a limited time to hand out Rocktober Reunion Rally Towels. Beginning at approximately 6:10 p.m., there will be a special extended pregame ceremony to honor the 2007 National League Championship team, featuring walk-up songs, a brief Q&A and a highlight video from the 2007 Rocktober run. During the game, several 2007 players will also participate with fans in several between-inning features, including the seventh-inning stretch.
