"Ed Sheeran is one of the can't-miss music events of 2018 in Milwaukee," said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger. "Miller Park has become a destination for a number of major touring artists, and Ed Sheeran's appearance here will add to an impressive list of marquee performances."
Multi-platinum, multiple Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has quickly established himself as one of the world's biggest musical artists with over 26 million albums sold. His third and most recent album "÷" (pronounced divide) has proven to be a global phenomenon of its own as it was crowned the biggest album of 2017 by Nielsen Music, with sales equivalents exceeding 2.764 million units, and recently won "Best Pop Vocal Album" at the 60th Grammy Awards. That same night, Sheeran's 8x-Platinum smash "Shape Of You" also took home a Grammy for "Best Pop Solo Performance."

The first two singles released from "÷" - "Shape Of You" and "Castle On The Hill" - entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number one and number six, respectively, making Sheeran the first artist ever to have two singles make simultaneous top 10 debuts in the chart's 58-year history.
Sheeran's latest single "Perfect," which is already 3x-Platinum certified, is currently number one on the Hot AC radio chart for the fourth week, and, after topping the Top 40 radio chart for two weeks, remains at number two. "Perfect" also stands at number two on Billboard's Hot 100, after holding the top spot for six consecutive weeks. The song earned Sheeran his second chart-topper on the Hot 100, joining "Shape Of You," which was number one for a remarkable 12 weeks, and made "÷" the only album of 2017 to have two of its singles top the chart.

"÷" follows the British singer-songwriter's second full length album "x" (pronounced multiply), which was released in 2014 and proved to be both critical and commercial success. After debuting at number one on the Billboard 200, the album has since been certified 4x-Platinum in the United States and earned two Grammy nominations, including "Album of the Year." The album was also a global sensation, ranking as the second-best selling album worldwide in 2015. "x" spawned four consecutive multi-platinum singles in "Sing," "Don't," "Photograph" and "Thinking Out Loud," which marked his first number one at Top 40 radio and won a pair of Grammy Awards, including "Song of the Year."
Sheeran first broke through to the mainstream in 2012 with his album "+" (pronounced plus), which was a top-five debut and certified 2x-Platinum in the United States. It spent three weeks at number one in the United Kingdom, where it has been certified 6x-Platinum. "+" is highlighted by "The A Team," an international smash which earned Sheeran his first Grammy Award nomination ("Song of the Year") and has been certified 3x-Platinum in the U.S.
Miller Park has played host to multiple concerts, including George Strait's Country Music Festival (2001), N'Sync (2001), Bruce Springsteen (2003), Randy Travis (2004), Bon Jovi (2005), Kid Rock/Sugarland (2008), Farm Aid's 25th Anniversary Concert (2010), Paul McCartney (2013), Kenny Chesney (2013, 2016 and again scheduled for April 28, 2018) and One Direction (2015). It has also hosted numerous other non-baseball events, including international soccer matches in 2014 and 2015.
