White Sox invite four additional players to Spring Training

The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms on minor-league contracts and non-roster invitations to spring training with left-handed pitcher Xavier Cedeño, infielder Jake Elmore and right-handers Jeanmar Gómez and Bruce Rondón.

The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms on minor-league contracts and non-roster invitations to spring training with left-handed pitcher Xavier Cedeño, infielder Jake Elmore and right-handers Jeanmar Gómez and Bruce Rondón.
Cedeño, 31, has made 201 career relief appearances with Houston (2011-13), Washington (2013-15) and Tampa Bay (2015-17), going 8-7 with a 3.98 ERA (63 ER/142.1 IP), two saves, eight holds and 140 strikeouts.
Elmore, 30, is a career .215 hitter (90-418) with 15 doubles, four home runs, 33 RBI and 34 runs scored in 197 games over five major-league seasons with Arizona (2012), Houston (2013), Cincinnati (2014), Tampa Bay (2015) and Milwaukee (2016).
Gómez, 29, has made 273 career appearances (46 starts) with Cleveland (2010-12), Pittsburgh (2013-14) and Philadelphia (2015-17), going 27-28 with a 4.39 ERA (251 ER/515.0 IP), 40 saves and 321 strikeouts.
Rondón, 27, is 8-7 with a 5.00 ERA (62 ER/111.2 IP), seven saves and 133 strikeouts in 123 career relief appearances over four major-league seasons with Detroit (2013, '15-17).
