Colorado Rockies reinstate LHP Chris Rusin from 10-day disabled list

The Colorado Rockies announced Friday that they have reinstated left-handed pitcher Chris Rusin from the 10-day disabled list and have optioned right-handed pitcher Antonio Senzatela to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Colorado Rockies announced Friday that they have reinstated left-handed pitcher Chris Rusin from the 10-day disabled list and have optioned right-handed pitcher Antonio Senzatela to Triple-A Albuquerque.
•    Rusin, 31, was placed on the 10-day disabled list on April 23 with a right intercostal muscle strain … has posted a 4.97 ERA (12.2 IP, 7 ER) with 11 hits, six walks and 11 strikeouts across eight relief appearances this season … made a career-high 60 relief appearances in 2017, going 5-1 with two saves and a career-best 2.65 ERA (85.0 IP, 25 ER) … in 92 relief appearances with Colorado, is 8-2 with a 2.71 ERA (149.2 IP, 45 ER), the lowest ERA by a Rockies reliever in club history (min. 135 innings pitched) … was originally claimed off waivers by the Rockies from the Chicago Cubs, Sept. 27, 2014.  
•    Senzatela, 23, has gone 2-1 with a 6.23 ERA (17.1 IP, 12 ER), six walks and 14 strikeouts in 10 relief appearances this season … in his rookie season in 2017, made 36 appearances, including 20 starts, going 10-5 with a 4.68 ERA (134.2 IP, 70 ER), 47 walks and 102 strikeouts … as a starter, went 10-5 with a 5.03 ERA (111.0 IP, 62 ER), 39 walks and 79 strikeouts … was named the National League Rookie of the Month in April 2017 after going 3-1 with a 2.81 ERA (32.0 IP, 10 ER) … was originally signed by the Rockies as a non-drafted international free agent, July 8, 2011.
