Prior to tonight's series opener at Pittsburgh, the Chicago White Sox reinstated second baseman Yoán Moncada from the 10-day disabled list. He takes the roster spot of infielder José Rondón, who was optioned to Class AAA Charlotte following Sunday's win at the Cubs.
Moncada, 22, has been on the disabled list since May 5 with left hamstring tightness. He is hitting .263 (30-114) with eight doubles, one triple, six home runs, 15 RBI, 17 walks, four stolen bases and a .359 on-base percentage in 29 games this season, his second with Chicago.
