The Angels return for their ninth homestand after going to Tampa Bay and Cleveland. The homestand begins Monday at 7:07 p.m. vs. the Tigers (Monday, August 6 - Wednesday, August 8). Following the three game series, the homestand will conclude with the A's (Friday, August 10 - Sunday, August 12). Below is a look at the notable events and ceremonies taking place at Angel Stadium during the homestand:
HOF VLADIMIR GUERRERO
• In recognition of Vladimir Guerrero's induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, the Angels will conduct a pre-game ceremony honoring this historic accomplishment on Friday, August 10. There ceremony will begin on-field at approximately 7:07 with the first pitch to follow at approximately 7:27 p.m.
• Angels' play-by-play broadcaster, Victor Rojas, will host the ceremony.
• A tribute video will be played to celebrate Vladdy's career in the Major Leagues.
• Fans in attendance will receive a commemorative Vladimir Guerrero HOF Bobblehead courtesy of Automobile Club of Southern California while supplies last.
TROUT E:60
• Fans in attendance on Saturday's game will be treated to a post-game screening of the E:60 feature on Mike Trout from ESPN.
FIRST PITCH
• Miss California, MacKenzie Freed, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Monday's game.
• Comedian, Brad Williams, from Orange, Calif. will throw out the first pitch prior to Tuesday's game.
• Chef Morimoto, from Iron Chef, will throw out a first pitch prior to Saturday's game.
HEART & HUSTLE AWARD
• Mike Trout, this year's preliminary Angels recipient of the Heart & Hustle Award, will be honored in a pre-game ceremony on Saturday.
• This award honors "active players who demonstrate a passion for the game of baseball and best embody the values, spirit and traditions of the game."
• The award is the only one in Major League Baseball that is voted on by former players and voting was conducted prior to the All-Star break.
CEREMONIES
• The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony on Tuesday.
• We Care Hero will be honored in a pre-game ceremony on Wednesday, August 8.
• The U.S. Japan Council will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony on Sunday.
• Fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks show on Saturday presented by Wells Fargo. Immediately following the fireworks, Trout's E:60 feature will play for fans.
