Astros Begin Final Regular Season Homestand Tomorrow

The red-hot Astros, who are 10-1 in the month of September on the heels of a successful 5-1 road trip, return home for the final homestand of the regular season tomorrow to face off against the Arizona Diamondbacks in a three-game set (Sept. 14-16). Following the D-backs, the Astros will host two division rivals in the Seattle Mariners (Sept. 17-19) and LA Angels of Anaheim (Sept. 21-23), marking the final divisional games of the regular season. The Astros enter play on Friday with a magic number of 6 to clinch a postseason berth and hold a 3.0-game lead over the Oakland A's for the top spot in the AL West.

As a reminder regarding tickets, all fans must either have their printed tickets in hand or utilize the MLB Ballpark App on their mobile devices to access Minute Maid Park and any Astros Street Fests. PDFs, screenshots or any photos of tickets on a mobile device will NOT be accepted, and the Astros will not be able to print tickets on-site. As part of the Astros' ongoing commitment to the safety of all fans, there is no re-entry into the ballpark once fans are scanned in, a policy consistent with the Astros postseason game day protocol as well as with other sports and entertainment venues around the country.
Friday, Sept. 14 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks - 7:10 p.m.
Prior to Friday's evening contest, longtime Houston Chronicle photojournalist Karen Warren will be inducted into the Houston Baseball Media Wall of Honor with a pregame ceremony on the field at Minute Maid Park. She will be the first photojournalist to receive this honor since the award's inception in 2007. Each season, a current or former Houston media member is inducted into the Houston Baseball Media Wall of Honor for significant and lasting contributions to the landscape of Houston baseball through their work in journalism or broadcasting. Each year, the winner is selected by the Houston media. Warren will be inducted by the Astros in recognition of her long and impactful career in the industry.
Additionally, actor Dean Cain, best known on TV as Superman and star of the upcoming feature film Gosnell, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Cain is in Houston for this weekend's Fandemic Tour taking place at NRG Center.
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Weekend presented by Fiesta, the Astros and Diamondbacks will wear their "Los Astros" and "Los D-backs" jerseys all weekend long.
Big and Bright Friday Night returns to Minute Maid Park this Friday with a special Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser at the Budweiser Brew House, where fans can enjoy $6, 16oz Budweiser Signature Draft beer and food specials, music, corn hole, jenga, and more from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. before every Friday night home game. This Friday's Pregame Happy Hour will feature Latin music in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Weekend, presented by Fiesta.
Come get loud and rowdy every Friday night in the Astros dedicated fan-section, 'StroZone, presented by Texas Mahindra Dealers! This Friday night's 'StroZone includes an exclusive "Somos Latinos" 'StroZone T-shirt for fans, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Weekend. To cap off Big and Bright Friday Night, fans are invited to stay after the game for Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Occidental Petroleum. This Friday's fireworks display will be set to a Reggaetón musical theme, also in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Weekend. Upon conclusion of Friday's game and prior to the start of Friday Night Fireworks, fans will be asked to move from the following sections for their safety and enjoyment: Home Run Alley, Escalator Tower Stairs in Center Field, Budweiser Brew House Tiers, Budweiser Batter's Eye Bar, Torchy's Deck, Crawford Boxes and sections 100-109, 205-208, 305-309, and 405-409.
Saturday, Sept. 15 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks - 6:10 p.m.
Prior to Saturday's evening contest, fans are invited to come out early and enjoy the Hispanic Heritage Street Fest presented by Fiesta from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. on the Plaza on Crawford St. The Street Fest will feature Latin food trucks, music from Johnny Be Good and his Latin band, beer and games for all ages. Please note, a valid game ticket is required for entry into the Hispanic Heritage Street Fest, and entrances are located at Center Field Gate, Left Field Gate and the Atrium.
The Astros will also have a special pregame ceremony on Saturday celebrating the Hispanic heritage of several Astros players, coaches and staff members, including Astros President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Jeff Luhnow, who was born and raised in Mexico.
Additionally, 10,000 fans will receive a Carlos Correa Replica Orange Jersey presented by H-E-B. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early to receive any promotional giveaways, as supplies are limited and not guaranteed. However, fans will not be allowed to line up for giveaways prior to 8:00 a.m. on any giveaway day this season. Please note that all gates will open at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Astros pitcher Joe Smith will be hosting families from HelpCureHD for a special meet and greet prior to Saturday's game. The meet and greet will be held in the press conference room following Astros batting practice.
Fans are invited to stay after the game on Saturday for the final Astros After Party presented by Budweiser of the season, located in the Budweiser Brew House in Center Field. The Astros After Party will begin in the 8th inning and go until one hour after the final out. Fans can enjoy live music, trivia, food and beverage specials, games and visits from the Astros Coca-Cola Shooting Stars.
Sunday, Sept. 16 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks - 1:10 p.m.
The Astros will celebrate Mexican Independence Day and conclude Hispanic Heritage Weekend presented by Fiesta with a Hispanic Heritage Street Fest on the Plaza on Crawford St. from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The Street Fest will feature Mexican food vendors, music by Cristina Amaro with a Selena Tribute Show, a live Q&A with Astros players from 11:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., beer, games, a special appearance from Dora the Explorer and more. A special Mariachi performance will also take place on the field during the first inning break of Sunday's ballgame. Please note, a valid game ticket is required for entry into the Hispanic Heritage Street Fest, and entrances are located at Center Field and Left Field Gates.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and the Astros will be recognizing multiple childhood cancer support organizations during several games this homestand. Children from these organizations will be invited to participate in various gameday features, including Bank of America's Kid's First Call, a ceremonial first pitch, a pregame ceremony, the performance of our National Anthem and the in-game Chevy Base Stealer feature. Participating organizations include The Sunshine Kids Foundation, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance and Ronald McDonald House Houston.
The Astros will honor two very special guests during the Occidental Petroleum Military Appreciation feature on Sunday: WWII veterans John McCain and David Gertner.
Following Sunday's afternoon contest, young Astros fans 5-12 are invited to participate in Kids Run the Bases presented by Securian Financial. The line for Kids Run the Bases will begin at Section 131/132.
Monday, Sept. 17 vs. Seattle Mariners - 7:10 p.m.
For the fifth time this season, the Astros will give fans the opportunity to secure a Replica World Champions Ring presented by Coca-Cola. The Astros Foundation and AT&T SportsNet will be hosting the third-annual Astros Foundation Charity Game and live broadcast at Minute Maid Park as the Astros face off against the Los Angeles Angels. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Sunshine Kids Foundation and Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance. For the final time this season, Astros fans can view and take photos with the Commissioner's Trophy, free of charge, Monday through Thursday, beginning when gates open until 30 minutes prior to first pitch.
