Revere, 30, played last season with Triple-A Salt Lake in the Angels organization, batting .277 with a .726 OPS over 40 games while missing two months (April 15-June 9) with a fracture in his left foot. The left-handed batter last appeared in the majors with the Angels in 2017, when he batted .275 in 109 games. Primarily a centerfielder in his pro career, he has also seen significant time at both corner outfield spots, including starts in left field for Toronto in all 5 games of the 2015 American League Division Series against the Rangers. Originally selected in the first round (28th overall) of the 2007 June draft by the Twins, he has a career slash line of .284/.319/.343/.661 across 857 major league games with Minnesota (2010-12), Philadelphia (2013-15), Toronto (2015), Washington (2016), and Los Angeles-AL (2017). He tied for the National League lead in hits in 2014, and his career 79.9% stolen base percentage (211-for-264) ranks ninth-best among current players.u5:p
