Hicks teaches son importance of bat flips

In the living room, no less

Knowing how to hit home runs is a very important skill to have if you want to grow to be a Major League Baseball player. It will get you a lot of notice from scouts, love from fans and probably a big contract. But there’s one additional artform you should also probably master, mostly just to look really, really cool after you hit a dinger: the bat flip.

Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks, a man known for flinging his bat, understands all of this and was seen giving his son a how-to over the weekend. In the living room.

The screaming while running the bases is something big leaguers should definitely adopt this season.
