Garrett reinstated from disabled list
CINCINNATI -- Reds left-handed reliever Amir Garrett was reinstated on Monday after going on the 10-day disabled list on Aug. 29 with a bone bruise in his left foot.
"I was just locating my pitches. I felt good and I feel good," Garrett said on Sunday, a day after he threw 25 pitches to a hitter in the cage. "It went very well. ... I feel like I am ready."
Over his 58 appearances this season, Garrett is 1-2 with a 4.21 ERA in 57 2/3 innings and has prevented 31 of 39 inherited runners from scoring.
