Skaggs could get one more start for Halos

ANAHEIM -- reported no issues after a bullpen session on Tuesday afternoon at Angel Stadium and there's a good chance he could start for the Angels this weekend against the Astros, provided he's cleared by the medical staff.
"If he feels good, we'll evaluate him to see where he folds in on the weekend," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. "He could possibly pitch on Saturday."
Skaggs has not pitched in a game since a six-inning start against the Rangers on Sept. 9, the result of a mild flexor pronator strain in his left forearm. He's in his first season back from Tommy John surgery.
Scioscia would like to see Skaggs on a big league mound this weekend. The regular season ends Sunday.
"That means he's healthy, sure," Scioscia said. "I think that this is really just for his piece of mind, that, 'Hey, I'm good to go.' Much like [] is going to do in instructional league next week, Tyler can do it here the last weekend and show that he's healthy."

"He definitely has been playing with this for a while," Scioscia said. "It's gotten to the point right now where we don't want to put him at risk. We're going to hold off today and just see how things go."
