Top prospect Banda among 6 D-backs sent to Minors

The D-backs optioned left-hander and right-hander to Triple-A Reno, the club announced Tuesday.
The D-backs also optioned infielder to Double-A Jackson and reassigned righty Frank Duncan and lefties and to Minor League camp.

Banda, who is ranked by MLBPipeline.com as the D-backs' top prospect, went 10-6 with a 2.88 ERA in 26 starts split between Double-A Mobile and Triple-A Reno last season, while Sherfy (No. 13 prospect) went 3-4 with a 2.77 ERA in 52 appearances across three teams in the D-backs' Minor League system last season.
Lugo (No. 4), 22, hit .311 with 17 home runs and 62 RBIs in 127 games in 2016 split between Class A Advanced Visalia and Mobile.
Arizona has 53 players remaining in big league camp.
