PHOENIX -- Fans that arrived early to Chase Field on Saturday afternoon weren't just standing in line for the bobblehead giveaway. Nor were they just hoping to get to their seats quickly to take in batting practice.
They were there to catch Pokemon.
The Pokemon Go app has been taking the country by storm this summer. Kids and adults alike have been trying to catch Pokemon, visit Pokestops and battle at gyms. D-backs fans had the opportunity to do just that prior to Saturday's game against the Brewers.

The D-backs dropped lures at the Pokestops that are stationed around Chase Field. That included at the All-Star Apple sculpture and Grand Canyon mural in center field. And at the home run windmill in the plaza just outside the gates to Chase Field.
Pokemon Go enthusiasts chased after the digital monsters at the "420 feet from home plate" marker under the center-field scoreboard, the D-backs bricks and the wall displaying all the community fields on the concourse.
From when the gates opened at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., just minutes before first pitch, Pokemon were attracted to the lures, allowing fans to throw Pokeballs at the creatures they were able to find.
