A's recall RHP Hahn from Nashville, option RHP Triggs to Nashville

Hahn joins the A's for the fourth time this year and is 2-4 with a 5.53 ERA in eight starts over his previous three stints.

The Oakland A's recalled right-handed pitcher Jesse Hahn from Triple-A Nashville and optioned right-handed pitcher Andrew Triggs to Nashville, the club announced today.
Hahn joins the A's for the fourth time this year and is 2-4 with a 5.53 ERA in eight starts over his previous three stints. He went 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA in two starts during his first stay from April 30 to May 7, 1-3 with an 8.34 ERA in five starts during his second appearance from May 17 to June 9 and made one start on July 24 against Tampa Bay during his third stint, which lasted one day. Hahn is 1-6 with a 3.66 ERA in 13 starts with Nashville and surrendered just three home runs in 59.0 innings. He made one start following his July 25 option and took the loss last Friday against Colorado Springs, allowing three runs on five hits in 7.0 innings.
Triggs was reinstated from the disabled list on Tuesday and tossed 2.1 scoreless innings last night at Los Angeles. He was placed on the 15-day DL July 19 retroactive to July 18 with a left shin contusion and made three rehab appearances with Nashville, allowing a run on four hits and no walks while striking out two in 4.0 innings. Triggs has no decisions and a 5.40 ERA in 17 games with Oakland and is 2-1 with two saves and a 2.95 ERA in 16 appearances with Nashville.
