Astros prospects Jason Martin and Kyle Tucker are heating up for Class A Advanced Buies Creek.
Martin hit home runs in each of his first three at-bats Sunday afternoon, marking the first three-homer game of his career, while Tucker homered twice for the second consecutive game in a 12-6 win over Myrtle Beach at TicketReturn.com Field.

Martin, the Astros' No. 27 prospect, went deep in the first, second and fourth innings off Myrtle Beach starter Ryan Kellogg. The career day upped his home run total for the season to five after he broke out with 23 long balls last season for Class A Advanced Lancaster.

An eighth-round draft pick of the Astros in 2013, Martin is hitting .279 with 22 runs and 17 RBIs through 27 games after finishing 3-for-6 with five RBIs Sunday. The 21-year-old left fielder hit .270 with 75 RBIs last season.

Tucker, the Astros' No. 2 prospect, now has eight home runs on the season, and he brought his average above .300 with a 2-for-4 day. He scored three runs and knocked in three in the rout.

Tucker, baseball's No. 30 overall prospect, is having a great start to 2017 with 32 hits and 30 RBIs in 29 games for Buies Creek. The No. 5 overall selection in the 2015 Draft, Tucker is already one home run shy of matching his career high.
