The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have acquired RHP ARNOLD LEON from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for cash considerations or a player to be named later.
LEON, 27, made his Major League debut in 2015, posting a 0-2 record with a 4.39 ERA in 19 relief appearances. The right-hander also made 20 appearances (six starts) for Nashville (AAA) going 2-5 with a 2.95 ERA. A native of Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, the eight-year pro has a 27-25 record with a 3.96 ERA in 177 games, with 57 of his 72 appearances since 2013 coming as a starter.
