Belt's power intensified by Coors Field

April 23rd, 2017

DENVER -- The list of hitters who love performing at Coors Field is a long one, and is near the top of the list.
The Giants first baseman has hit 10 career home runs at Coors Field, including a drive during Friday night's series opener that traveled a projected 456 feet, according to Statcast™.
Since Statcast™'s conception, Belt has recorded his three longest home runs at Coors Field. Besides Friday's long ball, Belt clobbered pitches that traveled projected distances of 475 feet (May 22, 2015) and 457 feet (last Sept. 7).
Put in other terms, entering Saturday, Statcast™ projected the average distance of Belt's 39 career homers since 2015 at 401 feet. That figure rose to 431 feet for Belt's five career home runs at Coors Field since 2015 and dipped to 392 feet for his 11 homers at AT&T Park.
• Shortstop will go on the three-day bereavement list next week to attend his sister-in-law's funeral services.
