The Atlanta Braves tonight completed the second day of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft by selecting eight players in addition to the four selections made on the first day of the draft. Through the first 10 rounds, the 12 draftees include seven pitchers (four left-handers, three right-handers), two infielders, two outfielders and one catcher. Atlanta has selected eight college players, while the remaining four players were chosen out of high school.
The 40-round First-Year Player draft will continue on Saturday (June 11) at 12:00 p.m. with rounds 11 through 40.
Selection #80, LHP Drew Harrington
Harrington, 21, won the 2016 ACC Pitcher of the Year award and was named a Louisville Slugger All-American by Collegiate Baseball newspaper after winning 12 games as a junior for the University of Louisville, ranked as the No. 5 team in the nation in the latest NCAA college baseball poll. His 12 wins are tied for the fourth most in Division I and one off the national lead while his 103.2 innings lead the Cardinals staff entering Super Regional play this weekend. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound native of Elizabethtown, Ky., transitioned to the starting rotation this season after spending his first two years with the Cardinals pitching mainly out of the bullpen.
The left-hander finished with a 3-1 record, four saves and 0.29 ERA in 18 relief appearances as a sophomore for the Cardinals. Harrington made four starts as a freshman, while also pitching in 17 games out of the bullpen as he compiled a 3-2 mark and a 4.95 ERA.
Harrington graduated from Central Hardin High School in Elizabethtown, Ky., where he won Gatorade Player of the Year for the state in 2013. He went 10-1 with a 0.26 ERA and 146 strikeouts as a senior, while also hitting .465 with three home runs and 50 RBI as a first baseman. 
Selection #109, RHP Bryse Wilson
Wilson, 18, won 10 games with a 0.75 ERA and 133 strikeouts in 84 innings for Orange High School in Hillsborough, N.C., this season. The highest rated high school player in North Carolina according to Baseball America threw three no-hitters, including a 71-pitch perfect game in the first round of the state playoffs.
The 6-1, 215-pound native of Hillsborough was named a Rawlings-Perfect Game 2^nd Team All-American this season, while also earning Perfect Game Honorable Mention nods in both 2014 and 2015. He won 33 games with a 0.90 ERA in his high school career, while also hitting .344 with 10 home runs and 75 RBI.
Wilson, who also starred on the Panthers football team as the quarterback, linebacker, receiver and punter, committed to play baseball for the University of North Carolina next season.
Selection #139, RHP Jeremy Walker
Walker, who turns 21 on Sunday, won nine games for Gardner-Webb University this season, making 15 starts and compiling a 3.77 ERA. The 6-foor-5, 200-pound native of Advance, N.C., struck out nearly a batter per inning (99 K/100.1 IP) while throwing three complete games.
Selection #169, 2B Matthew Gonzalez
Gonzalez, 22, was an ACC first-team selection this season after leading Georgia Tech in hitting at .378, while tying for the team lead with 11 home runs and 54 RBI. The senior started 59 games, with 50 coming in the outfield. He was also named to the ACC Championship All-Tournament Team and the NCAA Gainesville Regional All-Tournament Team. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound native of Acworth, Ga., played his high school ball at Harrison, helping the Hoyas to a AAAAA State Championship in 2010. Gonzalez was drafted in the 11^th round by Oakland in 2012, but chose to enroll at Georgia Tech.
Selection #199, LF J.B. Moss
Moss, 22, appeared in 61 games and hit .325 for Texas A&M, helping the Aggies to a No. 1 ranking in the latest NCAA college baseball poll and to the Super Regional, which will be played this weekend. The 6-foot-0, 195-pound senior was named to the College Station All Regional Team as the Aggies captured their second consecutive regional title. A three-time All-State selection at Brook Hill School in high school, Moss also played football and set the school record for the long jump.
Selection #229, LHP Taylor Hyssong
Hyssong, 22, appeared in 24 games, making two starts for the University of North Carolina at Wilmington this season. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound native of Frederick, Md., compiled a 2-0 record, one save and a 4.42 ERA in his senior season for the Seahawks. The left-hander also pitched at Pitt Community College and Davis & Elkins during his college career.
Selection #259, RF Tyler Neslony
Neslony, 22, hit .308 with nine home runs in 58 games this season for Texas Tech University. The 6-1, 190-pound senior was a three-year letter winner for the Red Raiders, finishing his college career with a .311 average and 19 home runs. An All-State selection his senior year at Calallen High School, Neslony was born in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Selection #289, SS Marcus Moone   
Mooney, 22, hit .310 in 60 games for the University of South Carolina this season, helping the Gamecocks to a 46-16 record and a No. 9 national ranking in the latest NCAA college baseball poll. A two-year letter winner at South Carolina, Mooney, who stands 5-foot-8 and weighs 165 lbs., also played at Palm Beach State, leading the Panthers to the championship game of the 2013 NJCAA World Series.
