Two of the National League's top power hitters were named co-NL Players of the Week on Monday, as Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper and Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado shared the honor.

Harper homered in four straight games to close out a week in which he hit .346/.400/.846 with 12 RBIs to help the Nationals maintain their Major League-best 9-2 start.

Arenado went 9-for-27 (.333) with six extra-base hits -- including four homers -- and 12 RBIs. He struck out just twice during that span.

Harper and Arenado trail only Rockies shortstop Trevor Story (seven) for the most homers in the Majors.

"The way he is going out there is unreal," Nationals pitcher Gio Gonzalez said of Harper. "It's next-level stuff."

Arenado, who celebrated his 25th birthday on Saturday, hit two long balls in Sunday's 2-0 win at Wrigley Field to take the weekend series and cool the red-hot Cubs. The Rockies finished the week trailing the Dodgers by a half-game in the NL West.

Harper and Arenado are tied for the MLB lead in homers since the start of the 2015 season, with 52.
