Bryce's five-hit day adds to #ASGWorthy run

WASHINGTON -- Picking up where he left off after his walk-off home run Saturday night, continued to torment the Phillies during Sunday's day-night doubleheader at Nationals Park.
After his run-scoring double in the fifth inning of the Nationals' 6-5 victory in the nightcap, Harper had five hits on the day with three RBIs. It's clearly improving the case for Harper to not only make his fifth All-Star team, but to potentially start the MLB All-Star Game presented by MasterCard on July 11.

"Just got to lock it in," Harper said about staying productive in both games of a doubleheader. "Lock it in for each at-bat, and it's only 2-3 minutes that you need to lock it in for. If you can lock it in for that amount of time in those at-bats, then you should be OK. Everybody's ready for that off-day [Monday]. Very tough to play 18 innings, but it's part of the game."
Harper collected two hits in the twin-bill opener, which the Phillies won, 4-3. He started with a solo shot in the first inning -- his second consecutive at-bat with a home run -- before adding a single in the eighth.

He then followed it up with three hits in Game 2, delivering a single in the first inning, an RBI single in the third and his double in the fifth.
Harper has hit safely in five of his last six games, going 10-for-24 (.417) with two doubles, three homers and seven RBIs during that span. He has improved his overall slash line on the season to .384/.500/.752 with 12 homers.
