White Sox purchase the contract of Gregory Infante

Prior to tonight's game at the Los Angeles Angels, the Chicago White Sox purchased the contract of right-handed pitcher Gregory Infante from Class AAA Charlotte and transferred catcher Geovany Soto to the 60-day disabled list. Soto was placed on the 10-day disabled list for the second time this season on May 10 with right elbow inflammation. He is batting .190 (8-42) with three home runs and nine RBI over 13 games in 2017.
