Cards announce 2016 Caravan schedule

ST. LOUIS -- On the same day autograph tickets went on sale for the team's upcoming Winter Warm-Up event, the Cards announced the schedule for their 2016 Cardinals Caravan, which will span six states and 21 cities over four days.
This year's caravan will run from Jan. 15-18 and will feature more than 30 current and former players making stops in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas and Indiana. Among the players participating this year will be Kolten Wong, Carlos Martinez, Randal Grichuk, Michael Wacha, Stephen Piscotty, Tommy Pham and Matt Adams.
Each of the six different caravans will feature at least four current Major/Minor League players, at least one former player and a broadcaster serving as an emcee. The team's mascot, Fredbird, will also make appearances at several caravan stops.
The full caravan schedule can be found at cardinals.com/caravan. As the Cardinals have done before, they will use an autograph ticket system at each stop. The first 400 kids ages 15 and under will receive a ticket for a free autograph from each current and former player present. No other autographs will be given.
The caravan is timed in conjunction with a the three-day Winter Warm-Up (Jan. 16-18) and the St. Louis Baseball Writers' Dinner (Jan. 17). Tickets for the Winter Warm-Up are on sale at cardinals.com/winterwarmup. Fans can also purchase autograph tickets using that link.
The 58th annual St. Louis Baseball Writers' Dinner will honor several members of the 2015 team as well as celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 2006 World Series champions. A special presentation to the family of Bill DeWitt and a tribute to Yogi Berra will also highlight the night's event. Tickets are on sale at stlouisbbwaa.com.
