Major League Baseball released the latest results on Monday and Dickerson moved up to second place from third place in the voting for American League DH.
With four days remaining, Rays fans -- along with fans of Major League Baseball -- need to get active at the polls if they want to see Dickerson at the Midsummer Classic.
"To date, it would probably be my biggest achievement, besides being a Major League Baseball player," Dickerson said. "To always be known as an All-Star in the Major Leagues."
The top five position players at first base, second, shortstop, third, catcher and DH were announced while the top 15 outfielders were announced. Dickerson was the only Rays player among the leaders.

Ahead of Dickerson is Nelson Cruz of the Mariners with 1,366,962 votes. Dickerson has 1,267,234 votes just ahead of Edwin Encarnacion of the Indians (1,186,483).
"He deserves it," Evan Longoria said. "He's earned it. It's not like there's any other reason why. The market here, it's been tough for us to get multiple guys into the All-Star Game even when they're deserving of it. Hopefully we have a ton of fans out there voting for him, because he deserves it.
"I hope he does get elected. It's definitely a cool feeling. I mean when I was elected I don't think numbers were anywhere near what he's doing. He should get in, no doubt about it. But to be elected, I think he's deserving of that."
Dickerson is having an All-Star season as reflected in his start. Heading into Tuesday night's action against the Pirates, Dickerson was hitting .330 with 17 home runs, 39 RBIs and a .957 OPS. All of Dickerson's 2017 success comes after a 25-pound weight loss from 2016, and he's healthy, unlike last season.
"It's kind of crazy to me, the ridiculous numbers he's put up that he's not on the top," Steven Souza Jr., said. "Obviously, we're down here in Tampa on a small-market team. So it makes sense. But it's great to see him where he's at and deservingly so."
Bill Chastain has covered the Rays for MLB.com since 2005.
