It would have been the second home run in three at-bats for the Cubs, as Anthony Rizzo led the inning off with a solo home run to right-center field.

Dickerson has had no issue adjusting to fielding in PNC Park in his first season with the Pirates. According to Statcast™, he entered Monday ranked No. 14 among big league outfielders in outs above average at 4.

"[Schwarber] hit it, and a lot of those balls kind of fade out and they go foul," Kuhl said. "My first thought was foul ball. Second thought, seeing [Dickerson] stand there and then kind of take off, was fly-ball out. And then it carried more than I thought, and maybe he thought, too. Then I looked back and he was making an unbelievable play.

"[He] really saved me. Just an unbelievable play, sticking with it."
