D-backs to begin '17 season at home, close it on road

PHOENIX -- The D-backs will begin their 20th season by hosting the Giants at Chase Field in one of three Opening Day games on Sunday, April 2, to begin the 2017 Major League Baseball regular season.
MLB released the 2017 regular-season schedule on Wednesday. D-backs-Giants is one of two divisional matchups that will air on ESPN to open the season on April 2.
After beginning the year on Sunday, Arizona will have an off-day before continuing the season-opening homestand against San Francisco and Cleveland.

In Interleague play, the D-backs will host the Indians, Tigers, White Sox and Astros. They will play the Tigers, Astros, Twins and Royals on the road.
Arizona will end the season with a three-game series in Kansas City. It will be the seventh time in franchise history the D-backs close the year on the road.
2017 tickets
Twenty-nine of Arizona's final 34 games will be played against National League West opponents. The final regular season homestand at Chase Field will be played against the Marlins and Giants.
