PHOENIX -- One year after introducing cutting-edge uniforms, the D-backs will make a few minor tweaks to them for the 2017 season.
The biggest differences is that the pants on both the home and road uniforms will no longer have the color gradient on the calves, and the stripe on the sides of the pants will go all the way to the waist instead of three-quarters of the way up as they were last year.
"With the differences in the way players wear their pants it was hard to get a consistent look," D-backs team president/CEO Derrick Hall said. "We listened to the feedback from our fans and players and decided to make the small changes."
In addition the team is making small coloring changes on the backs of the road jerseys so that it is easier to read the player's names.
Whereas last season the hats with the "snakehead" logo were made from the lighter batting practice material, they will be wool caps like the rest of the hats in 2017.
