Pollock set to move rehab to High-A ball

D-backs outfielder could return from elbow fracture by September

August 6th, 2016

PHOENIX -- was back at Chase Field on Saturday after playing the first game of his rehab assignment in the Arizona Rookie League on Friday night. But the D-backs outfielder isn't staying here for long.
Pollock will start at DH again on Sunday for the AZL D-backs before taking his rehab assignment on the road. On Monday, he will join Class A Advanced Visalia to continue his rehab.
On Friday, Pollock went 1-for-4 in the rookie league game in nearby Tempe. He singled in his first at-bat and was pleased with how he felt afterward.
"I could've went 0-for-10, it didn't matter, I just felt good out there," Pollock said. "It's fun to play again."
Pollock has missed the entire season due to a fractured left elbow incurred in an exhibition game on April 1.
Although Pollock is still a few games away from returning to the field, he will continue to DH until he gets the OK to do otherwise.
"I'm healthy, 100 percent healthy, which is the No. 1 thing," Pollock said. "I feel really strong, I feel pretty powerful in there."
D-backs manager Chip Hale said it is possible to think Pollock will be back in the Majors before September.
