CHICAGO -- Royals left-hander Danny Duffy believes he is back.
After a lengthy stint on the disabled list because of a low-grade pronator strain, Duffy again delivered a solid start, this time six innings of two-run ball in an 8-2 win over the White Sox on Saturday night at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Duffy's first start back from the DL last week was five innings of one-hit ball against the Indians.
"I felt like I really didn't miss a beat when I was gone," Duffy said.
Duffy gave up eight hits, three of them in a shaky first inning as the White Sox took a 1-0 lead. Duffy threw 19 pitches. He was on an 85-pitch limit for the game.

"I didn't feel I was missing any spots in that inning," Duffy said. "I felt like I was executing. And from then on it really felt good."
Added Royals manager Ned Yost, "He got the pitch count up a little in the first inning. Then, he got the pitch count back down and I thought, 'Geez, this kid might go eight innings.' Just a great job by Danny. He had it all working."
Duffy settled into cruise control and faced one jam in the fourth, when with runners at the corners and two out, he got Willy Garcia to line out to left.
"I felt great tonight," Duffy said. "I felt I was emptying everything in the tank. Felt really good."
Yost sent Duffy back out for the seventh. But Duffy gave up a walk and a single and that was it.
"Trying to steal a couple outs in the seventh," Yost said. "Once the first two guys got on, just bring in [the bullpen]."
The other encouraging part of the night was that the discomfort in Duffy's forearm wasn't as noticeable as in previous outings.
"It's still there," Duffy said. "It's going to be there until it's addressed [in the offseason]. But everything I had was working."
