Walker hits for cycle, drives in five runs

's assault on Pacific Coast League pitching continued Saturday night as he hit for the cycle and drove in five runs in Triple-A Reno's 11-10 extra-inning win over New Orleans.
The D-backs' No. 30 prospect, who finished 4-for-6, become the third player in Aces history to hit for the cycle when he led off the bottom of the 11th inning with a double to left-center field. Prior to Walker, was the most recent Aces player to hit for the cycle, having accomplished the feat in 2011.

Walker, who now has 41 RBIs in 34 games, tripled in the first, homered in the fifth, singled in the ninth and doubled in the 11th. The 26-year-old is off to a strong start this season, hitting .299 and leading the league in RBIs.
Walker, 26, got off to a fast start Saturday night, driving in a run with a triple in the bottom of the first. Not only was the triple Walker's first of the season, but it was just his sixth in 567 Minor League games.
With the triple out of the way, the stage was set for Walker to get the rest of the cycle.
Walker, who has hit 18 homers in each of the past two seasons, hit his 10th homer of 2017, a two-run blast in the fifth inning. In the ninth, he came up clutch with a two-run single as Reno scored six times in the inning to erase a massive deficit and send the game into extra innings.
Walker then took advantage of the extra at-bat, doubling to complete the cycle. Although Walker was stranded after his leadoff double, the Aces would win an inning later, in the 12th, when scored from second on a wild pitch.
