Brito recalled from Triple-A for outfield depth

September 3rd, 2016

DENVER -- The D-backs called up outfielder from Triple-A Reno on Friday after dealing veteran outfielder to the Orioles following Wednesday's game.
This will be Brito's fourth stint in the big leagues this year. He has hit .147 in 34 at-bats as consistent playing time at the Major League level has been hard to come by.
"He's gotten real hot down at Reno," D-backs manager Chip Hale said. "When you're shuttling between levels, it's difficult to get any good feel, or just feel normal. This is a talented, talented player who just has not been able to get it going."
While Hale plans on giving Brito some playing time right away, outfield at-bats could be tough to come by down the stretch. In addition to the outfielders already in the big leagues, the D-backs could add and once Reno's season ends next week.
