PHOENIX -- Dodgers third baseman Alex Guerrero was a late scratch from Saturday's starting lineup with a sore left knee. He was replaced as designated hitter by Shawn Zarraga. The Dodgers beat the D-backs, 7-2.
Guerrero said he injured the leg running Friday. Manager Dave Roberts said Guerrero is expected to return quickly and did not need medical tests.
Guerrero, 29, has been seeing significant early action at third base this spring as the club has been bringing starter Justin Turner along slowly after offseason knee surgery.
Guerrero homered and doubled in the Dodgers' first exhibition game Thursday and also served as DH on Friday.

A touted slugger when signed out of Cuba in 2013 to a four-year, $28 million contract, Guerrero became a player without a position when club officials determined that he couldn't make the transition from shortstop, which he played in Cuba, to second base.
He slugged 11 home runs but batted only .233 last year, splitting time between third base and left field. He has not worked in the outfield this spring. His contract prevents a Minor League assignment without his permission, which he has repeatedly insisted he will not give.
