A's president Kaval talks unique path to MLB

May 29th, 2018

Dave Kaval jokingly refers to his early career as a "drunken walk" for its unpredictability and wandering nature. And the A's president does indeed have one of the most surprising resumes of any big league executive working today.
Prior to joining Oakland in 2016, Kaval carpooled with Tiger Woods at Stanford, worked in the executive branch during the George W. Bush administration, and founded an independent baseball league … among other ventures.
Hear about the rest of Kaval's unique journey to MLB, and his plans for the A's future, on this week's episode of the Executive Access podcast:

On Executive Access, Feinsand provides a unique look at the people building Major League teams by engaging in candid interviews with front-office personnel from around MLB. Each week, you'll find out how they broke into the game, why they do what they do and how they envision the future of baseball. Look out for new episodes on Tuesdays.
