Giants roster move for Friday, July 14, 2017

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Giants made the following roster move prior to tonight's game against the San Diego Padres: IF Eduardo Nunez returned from his rehab assignment and was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list (left hamstring strain).  

  • Nunez missed 18 games with a left hamstring strain.
  • Appeared in two rehab games with the SJ Giants, going 1-for-5 with a walk and a run scored.
  • Has reached base safely via hit or walk in each of his last 30 games, batting .352 (44-for-125).
  • Is batting .407 (22-for-54) with RISP, the second-best figure in the NL.
  • Has been the ultimate utility man starting 37 games at 3B, 17 in LF, nine games at SS, one in RF.
  • Is 17-for-20 in stolen base attempts...his 17 steals are the fourth-most in the NL.

Following the game on July 9, the Giants optioned OF Mac Williamson (#51) to triple-A Sacramento.
